2020 Tokyo Olympics fan zone

 Kia ora bloggers,

Today, the seniors went to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics fan zone. We left at 9:00 on the bus.

On the way me and my friend were telling jokes to each other, we were very excited. We were talking about how it might be like. My class and half of room 9 were on one bus, the rest of room 9 and the whole of room 8 were on another. We were the 2 groups.

After about 10 minutes, we arrived. The fan zone looked pretty large. We walked into the very big room and sat on this fake grass in front of a stage. On the stage were 2 adult. One of them was Debbie Tanner, she was in the Olympics. She told all of us she had won 20 golden medals. It was very impressive.

Some kids from a different school were there too. We asked question and Debbie answered them. They were very good ones.

After a while, we went to different sides of the large rooms. Haypark went to the fun zone, there wee different kind of games that were in the Olympics. I tried some with my friends, my favourite was probably the kicking game. Someone had to stand in the position and there was a T.V in front of them. They had to kick and the character on the T.V would kick as well. You got 100 points each time you knocked a guy down.

20 minutes after, we swapped around with the other school. We split into groups and played a few games. My favourite was definitely the jumping one. We had to jump and the further we jumped the more points we got. My team got the most at 188.

We kept swapping around till each team did each game. After that we had a photo in front of Eke Tahi, the huge skateboard. After getting some water, Haypark sat down in in front of this very big T.V. A bunch of adults were up on some bleacher looking seats. We were watching the Olympics live.

After another 20 minutes, we had to get up and leave. On the bus, I sat next to my friend.

It was very fun and I hope I go back.
