2020 Tokyo Olympics fan zone

 Kia ora bloggers,

Today, the seniors went to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics fan zone. We left at 9:00 on the bus.

On the way me and my friend were telling jokes to each other, we were very excited. We were talking about how it might be like. My class and half of room 9 were on one bus, the rest of room 9 and the whole of room 8 were on another. We were the 2 groups.

After about 10 minutes, we arrived. The fan zone looked pretty large. We walked into the very big room and sat on this fake grass in front of a stage. On the stage were 2 adult. One of them was Debbie Tanner, she was in the Olympics. She told all of us she had won 20 golden medals. It was very impressive.

Some kids from a different school were there too. We asked question and Debbie answered them. They were very good ones.

After a while, we went to different sides of the large rooms. Haypark went to the fun zone, there wee different kind of games that were in the Olympics. I tried some with my friends, my favourite was probably the kicking game. Someone had to stand in the position and there was a T.V in front of them. They had to kick and the character on the T.V would kick as well. You got 100 points each time you knocked a guy down.

20 minutes after, we swapped around with the other school. We split into groups and played a few games. My favourite was definitely the jumping one. We had to jump and the further we jumped the more points we got. My team got the most at 188.

We kept swapping around till each team did each game. After that we had a photo in front of Eke Tahi, the huge skateboard. After getting some water, Haypark sat down in in front of this very big T.V. A bunch of adults were up on some bleacher looking seats. We were watching the Olympics live.

After another 20 minutes, we had to get up and leave. On the bus, I sat next to my friend.

It was very fun and I hope I go back.

Term 2 Holidays

Heya bloggers,

On the first week of the holiday’s, from Wednesday to Friday, I went to my Auntie’s house. I went there because my brothers stayed over and it was my turn.

My Mum dropped me off.

When I got there, I put my bag next to the couch.

My Aunt and I watched youtube for a while. We watched Azzyland. After a while, we had dinner. For dinner we had large fish bites with chips, it was delicious.

After we finished dinner my Aunt and I watched an anime called Parasyte, we ended up finishing it from episode 13-23.

Between episodes, my Aunt would make a joke about something, she made me laugh heaps.

It was about 11:00 P.M when we went to sleep. I fell asleep on the couch, so I slept there, my Aunt went to her bedroom. It was really fun and I really enjoyed it.

My Favourite part was when we joked around about things.

Bike training

 Hey bloggers,

This week on Wednesday and Thursday we had bike training. Since I didn't know how to ride a bike I was in the learners part. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous about it, but the coach, coach Jason was really nice. The other coach Lonnie was also very nice. She went with the other kids to play a game.

After we received our bikes, the learners went to the end of one court and the others went to another court to play a game. At first I thought it would be really hard, but it was actually pretty easy.

We started off with gliding and pushing ourselves, we had to try and stay up. After a while I got the hang of it and started to try and pedal. It was really easy and fun. I started pedalling more and I got better.

After half an hour I started fully riding the bike. It was great. I rode around the whole court pretty fast. I was going through people and going in circles.

Coach Jason said that the people who started to petal could go on the grass. Me and my friend Neha went on. It was a bit more hard than the concrete so we went back to it.

It was nice riding the bike because it was a hot day and when I rode it, it felt cool. After about and hour and a half we stopped. On Thursday we had a different coach. I dont really remember his name but he was a really good teacher. Since there wasn't enough bikes, some kids shared one. I shared with Neha.

The coach gave us challenges like touching our helmet, giving him a high five, standing up etc. I stood up for about 3 seconds. It was kinda hard trying to steer the wheel when I was standing. I accidentally rode the bike off the concrete and onto the grass. It was really fun riding the bike.

Kainga Ora- Subway

 Hiya bloggers,

Today my class was super lucky to receive Subway from Kainga Ora. It was absolutely delicious. I had lettuce, tomato, mayo and chicken. We also received a mini pump water bottle and a chocolate chip cookie.

We won subway due to a servery we took about our neighbourhood. Kainga Ora was really satisfied with our answers. Some of the people that work with Kainga Ora visited our class, we talked about what we would like to see in our neighbourhood. Karla, the girl who came in first, asked us about our neighbourhood.

We took some photos with them as well. It was really fun. The Subway was really yum. The cookie was really soft and yum.

Here are some photos that were taken by my teacher. The Subway was really fun and one of the best lunches ever.
