Hello blogger,
This week for the wonder project, we looked at health and safety. Then we did our first test launch, a few actually.
First we went out to the Keith Hay park field. When shooting a rocket, you need to be in an area where there a are no Hazards ex: Trees, power lines, cars buildings etc.
2 kids got to help out. They had to wear vests and safety glasses. Their names were Keti and Justin.
We got to write down the PSI(Pounds per square inch) and amount of water that was used. The first test launch was successful. We started with 10-20 PSI and 250 ml of water. We got to count down and then it shot off. The next test launches were also successful. One ended up flying out behind all of the kids behind the line. It was so cool watching the rocket fly.
There had to be a good amount of water, but not too much because that would make it heavy. Not all the tests ended up being successful, but it was still very fun. I cant wait to do it again next week.
Here are some photos and videos of the adventure.
